Deluxe National Dressage Championships The thing about Dressage riders is that they are very calm people. After a manic Burghley, this was a welcome change. Great to see friends made from last year (www.pinkwhiskers.co.uk) and some new customers too. ...Oh, and watch out for the interview on the Horse and Hound website.

Burghley Horse Trials The last big event of the season and it did not disappoint. The weather was brilliant, stand was in a much better location, met some really great people. Can't wait for next year!

August 2011

Blair Castle Horse Trials It takes two days for me to get to this show, but I love it! Great acting, singing, dancing AND playing musical instruments on stage at Pitlochry Theatre on Saturday night - highly recommended www.pitlochry.org.uk

Festival of British Eventing Gatcombe is one of my favorate venues. Such a beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere. The only show where I get to walk the course with my dogs, Holly and Shoza

July 2011

Hickstead Royal International Horse Show The bigger of the two events that I went to this year. Look out for the promo video for next year - I'm the one in the hat!

CLA Game Fair Held at Blenheim Palace this year, it was as great as ever. Thanks Gwenn for the birthday cakes! www.ad-loo.com

Great Yorkshire Show Two days of standing in a wind tunnel were rewarded with an almost warm summers day on sunday. I had a surprising number of visitors that I normally see at Burghley.

Cotswold Show The RCA Pavillion had moved location next to the food hall this year, so lunch and the odd ice cream was sorted! As a local show, it still maintains a friendly atmosphere, set just outside the beautiful market town of Cirencester...Hope to see you all again at CLA Game Fair, Blenheim Palace or Festival of British Eventing, Gatcombe.

June 2011

Hickstead British Jumping Derby It was great to be back at this beautiful showground after four years. I have met some real characters and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Great to see equine artist Jess Hill again (www.printzbyjess.co.uk). Unfortunately I missed the evening polo on saturday due to other commitments. Hopefully I will get the chance when I return in July for the Royal International.

South of England Sun, rain, sun, rain...If you did visit whilst my stand was open, great. If you managed to find me during one of the many showers, I appoligise for having to squeeze you in, but you were very welcome. Big thank you for the W.I. ladies too, always a pleasure.

Bramham Horse Trials Glorious weather and a happy crowd are the two best memories from this show this year. Bramham continues to grow as a popular northern show and it was a pleasure to be there...just hope they move the loos though!

May 2011

Houghton International Horse Trials We were hoping for a gentle weekend of sun and light breezes, but unfortunately it was not to be. I am however pleased that the rain was a good thing for the Norfolk farmers, riders and gardeners that I spoke to. A huge thank you to the two ladies that helped us on Thursday during the flood and to anyone who helped hold down the marquee or retrieve blown away bags thoughout the weekend.n P.S. I've just checked for next weekend: sun, sun sun!

Royal Windsor Horse Show Its not often that you get to stay in the Queens back garden, have a live tattoo show every night and fireworks to finish! After a hectic two weeks of Easter, Bank Holidays and a rather brilliant wedding, it was not surprising that there were less visitors than last year. Great to see those who did go, including the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Cornwall.

April 2011

Badminton Horse Trials So hot, my Easter egg melted! Luckily it cooled off for Crosss Country day, but the rest of the weekend was glorious sunshine all the way. Many delayed their traditional Easter festivities to visit the trials and take advantage of some great shopping. Thank you to everyone who came to visit my stand - I was lucky enough to have one on the edge of RCA this year and was featured in Badminton Life magazine (twice!)

Burnham Market Horse Trials For the first time I drove to a beautiful part of the country in North West Norfolk. Within a short distance of the sea, I had the pleasure of attending the Burnham Market Horse Trials at Sussex Farm. A special thank you to Charlie for all his help and Mrs Thompson for visiting us on the stand.

February 2011

Happy Valentine's Day to you all. Hope you get lots of lovely treats!

2010 News

December 2010

Burghley Crafts For ChristmasWhite Christmas at Burghley House. Despite several fairs and Christams Markets being closed around the country due to the snow, Burghley House Crafts for Christmas was up and running. The local residents were also not discouraged and it was wonderful to see them all there. (Photo: Mary Prosser, of www.tismaria.com Handbags, and I, courtesy of  the Rutland & Stamford Mercury).

...As this is the last show of 2010 in my calendar, I shall be enjoying spending some time in my home city of Bath. I couldn't resist it, but I will just catch the last week of the Bath Christmas Market.

November 2010

Harrogate is a Storm. 100mph winds and rain made my stay in Harrogate a bit of an eye opener (from 2:30am one night!) However, many braved the elements to visit one of the biggest shows of the Christmas season and it was great to see them at the Great Yorkshire Showground. Congratulations to Sue, who bought a shirt last year for an interview...Thanks for coming to let me know that you got the job!

October 2010

Horse of the Year Show. Thanks to www.dogsandco.com, www.lucciohandbags.com, www.magnetic.uk.com  and www.techclothing.co.uk for getting us through the long days - most entertaining!

Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Team GBR (each with one of my shirts in their suitcases) went to the games and to cut a long story short - they won! Top of the table with 19 medals between them. check out www.alltechfeigames.com and my TeamGBR & WEG 2010 page to find out more.

September 2010

Special Offer Launch: FREE Postage on all orders made in 2010! This still includes a FREE Returns and Exchanges service should you need to send anything back, so go ahead and try something on...

New stockist Linnet opens its doors in Oakham, Rutland. They have a good range of my shirts, the shop looks stunning and they've even made a video of their opening launch http://vimeo.com/15220605. If you live in the area, pop in and check out this up and coming independent store.

Deluxe National Dressage Championships is a prestigious event where you can see the very best dressage riders and horses. My first visit to this show has proved to be a most enjoyable one. Special thanks to IVRiders gifts, Neue Schule bits, Sue Carson Saddles, Horsehealth and Haygain for making me feel so welcome.

Burghley Horse Trials is poles apart from the others. This significant show doubles as one of the best eventing competitions in the country and an end-of-season shopping experience. Special thanks to Mr Pangs, Stamford for feeding all of us so well on Saturday.

August 2010

First Visit to Blair Castle International Horse Trials. If you haven't had the chance to visit the heart of Scotland - do. A chance to see the very best of British riding and British horses over a long weekend in one of the most stunning areas of the country. A big thank you to Thomas Dainty for being such excellent neighbours, with their lovely collection of Cheaney brogue shoes. If only they did women's...See you at Burghley. Congratulations to William Fox-Pitt for winning (again)!

Re-Launch of the Mentmore Arts, Crafts and Design Festival. Knowing nothing about golf, I was not expecting such a stunning venue to the brand new launch of the Mentmore Crafts Festival. Ian and Jane did a top drawer launch to an exhibition that will prove to be a winning success in the glorious location of Mentmore's Golf Club. If you're lucky enough to be a member, or if you live locally, make sure that this one is in your diary next year.

Getting Shirty in the News. Really pleased with the articles in the equestrian press this month:

Daisy Berkeley wins Gatcombe. Home of the Princess Royal, this is a stunning venue to hold a horse show. The Festival of British Eventing incorporates the British Open, Intermediate and Novice Championships with top class eventing. This year, as with every year, there was a welcoming friendly feeling to the show. Its a great place to spend the weekend and the management and staff are always friendly and helpful. Congratulations to Daisy Berkeley, the new 2010 British Open Champion.

July 2010

CLA first time gathering in Warwickshire. After short break in Stratford-on-Avon, it was on to the CLA Game Fair. Held at Ragley Hall, home of the Marquess and Marchioness of Hertford, for the very first time. This is one of the biggest shows of the year, so I'm amazed at how many previous customers managed to find me! I did manage to have a walkabout on Sunday morning. Here are some of my favourate stands that I managed to visit: Cordings of Piccadilly (owned by Eric Clapton, they dress the Royal Family), Gilinix (beautifully fitted tweed gillets and jackets), Timothy Fox (young eccentric county clothing), Wolsey (classic mens and ladies casualwear), Firepits UK (stylish braziers and firepits for the garden), Braided Rug Company (tough and colourful machine washable rugs)...next stop Gatcombe Park (Princess Anne's house), Gloucestershire, for the Festival of British Eventing!

Monsoon at the Great Yorkshire Show. As the crowds flooded in, the skys opened. Within minutes, a river of water was pouring through my stand and all across the showground. By wednesday afternoon, the RCA pavillion had become a shelter for the unprepared. Despite all of this, it was great to see so many customers from previous Yorkshire visits. I shall look forward to seeing them again when I return for the Crafts for Christmas Fair 11th - 14th November.

Cotswold Crazy. Despite a serious lack of advertising, plenty of people found there way to the Cotswold Show this weekend. Perhaps because it is a well established local show. This show has excellent demonstartions of traditional wood craft and the rare breeds marquee was fasinating. With the balmey heat, the ice creams were great.

June 2010

Royal Highland Show Heatwave. I'm so glad I made the 800 mile round trip from Bath to Edinburgh. The scenery was stunning, the Scottish were welcoming (despite the England Footy) and the show was everything I had hoped for. It was so great to make new friends and catch up with old ones. I'll be back in August for Blair International Horse Trials.

South of England Flood. Although most of the show was enjoyed in warm, breezy conditions, it rained quite a bit on friday morning. As a visitor, you will have missed the brilliant guys pumping away the moat of water from around my stand (- I'm thinking of claiming it on expenses). A huge thanks to them and all of the other stewards and staff who made it a wonderfull show to be at.

Bramham Horse Trials a Success. So many people came to enjoy the eventing and grounds of Bramham Park. It was gloriously sunny every day (except Sunday), the ponies were having fun in the ring and Pippa Funnell won.

May 2010

Heat Wave in Devon. From the sublimely cold to the rediculously hot in the space of one week...If you forgot the factor 20+, you are probably feeling pretty sorry for yourself right now? The lovely presenter of BBC Spotlight, Amanda Graham came back to visit me again and will now be seen adorning the Alexandra Lilac Stripe or the Georgina Pink Herringbone during her broadcasts.

Royal Windsor Horse Show went off with a bang. It is remarkable that my stand was right by the arena and yet I didn't get to see a single horse (again). The Tattoo ran loudly, but brilliantly every evening - I could tell by the cheers. Many thanks to the customers who came to see me. Also, my delightful neighbours Cordings of Piccadilly (www.cordings.co.uk) and Welligogs (www.welligogs.com).

April 2010

PinkStripes on the Move. The Bath fashion boutique has joined forces with another established quailty ladies clothing shop, Definition. Both can now be found at 10 Broad Street, Bath.

Badminton Horse Trials. The beginning of my show season was kicked off in the glorious grounds of Badminton House, Gloucestershire. Great to see some familiar faces and some new customers braving the chilly wind and rain. Sadly, I didn't get to see a single horse at the trials as I was busy working on the stand - Anybody know who won?

March 2010

New Product, New Brochure, New Shows. Early spring is when things start getting really busy. The new summer scarves have arrived, the cufflinks are due any day. A new brochure has been printed and (mostly) posted - luckily I bought lots of stamps before Royal Mail put the prices up! Arrivals will continue throughout April, so stay in touch through the "Get Shirty" mailing list, Facebook or Twitter. This is also the best way to hear about my promotions, sales and occasionally a free show ticket or two.

February 2010

Valentine's Day, 14th February - I'm still waiting for my card! Can we blaim the credit crunch?

January 2010

Getting Sociable in the New Year. Joining the social networking revolution, Katherine Partis can now be followed in Twitter (katherinepartis) or you can become a fan (their words, not mine) on Facebook (Katherine Partis Ltd).

December 2009

The last of the Christmas shows has finished just as the weather is turning cold. Thank you to everyone who came to see me and a special thank you for those who purchased a pair of wellies from me. The profits from these are going towards Judy's Romanian Orphanage (see Nov). I'm already planning for 2010, but for now, have a very Merry Christmas and an excellent New Year!

November 2009

Bown Designs is a Good Samaritan for Romanian Orphanage. Judy Bown hosted a private charity event at her home in Glastonbury. It was a great success for the orphanage, the guests and also a great chance for me to catch up with some of my ex-Mulberry pals who are also running their own independent businesses. Take a look at some of their websites to see what they do... www.bowndesigns.com    www.cardtastic.co.uk    www.thebathwickboatman.com

NEW Katherine Partis Ladies Shirts have arrived. I've just put them on the website, so have a look and see what you think!

FREE Postage on all orders. As usual, we offer a free return and exchange service and all returns can be made after Christmas. So, don't worry if you are buying a gift  - we will make sure that its the right one!

October 2009

Abingdon Craft Fair is Relaunched. Congratulations to Ian and Jane North on taking over and running the ever popular Abingdon Craft and Design Fair, Oxfordshire.
The fair was attended by a wide variety of crafters and stall holders, showing a range of high quality products. Those lucky enough to visit the fair are probably feeling very pleased with themselves for bagging some excellent goods and ticking off a few names on their Christams present lists. I wish them every success for their Spring Fair, due to be held in April.

September 2009

Eventing - We WON!
Congratulations to the whole British Eventing Team for winning gold for the eighth year in succession.
Tina Cook also won gold in the individuals and Piggy French won silver. This was her first senior championships.
William Fox-Pitt came forth, Nicola Wilson ninth and Laura Wiegersma thirteenth.

August 2009Sophie Red Blue Striped Ladies Fitted Shirt

The Sophie Red and Navy stripe ladies shirt has been selected by the British Equestrian Federation as part of the formal uniform for Team GBR to be worn at the European Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing Championships 2009.

The Dressage and Show Jumping has already taken place at Windsor Castle, where we won a silver and bronze. The Eventing Championships will take place at the end of September in Fontainbleau, France.

"I just wanted to thank you for the shirts which you so very kindly made for us at the Europeans, they were lovely! Kind Regards, Maria Eilberg"
