Leather BeltsHow To Care for Leather Belts

These are good quailty leather belts, so you should not need to do much to them to keep them looking great. As the leather is worn, it developes a characteristic patina

If you think the leather is getting a little dry, a little dubin goes a long way on a dry, clean cloth

The buckles can be lightly polished with a dry, dust free cloth

To store your belt, always loosely coil the belt with the buckle on the inside to prevent marking the leather. The buckle can be wrapped in acid free tissue paper to prevent scratches

All of the belts are professionally inked on the edges. It shouldn't be a problem, but we always recommend not wearing them with white clothing, such as linen, on the first few wearings

Deck ShoesHow To Care for Deck Shoes

All coloured deck shoes will fade with use, especially in the sun. The leather will soften and mould  to your feet with wear. This is a characteristic of these shoes that, in time, will make them "old friends" whilst on your adventures

Waxed Nubuck and Leather: There is a high content of wax in these shoes, so initially all you have to do is wear them. Should they get scratched, a gentle rub with your finger will usually buff it out. If the leather starts to look dry, use some dubin. Do not use boot polish.

Machine Washable Deck Shoes: The washing instructions are stitched into the inside of the shoe. Wash separately in cold water, on a gentle cycle, with liquid soap. Air dry only and do not bleach

Suede Loafers: These shoes are made from good quality German suede. To protect the suede, spray with a protective suede spray before the first wearing (available from supermarkets). Try not to get them wet, but if you do, put tissue paper inside to hold the shape and air dry them. If you get mud on them, allow to dry first and then brush gently with a soft/rubber brittled brush

Silk ScarfHow To Care for a Silk Scarf

Store the scarf as flat as possible in a cool dry place

If the scarf has to be folded, use tissue paper inside to provide protection from the folds

Either Dry Clean or Wash by Hand...

1. Wash in body temperature water with a little liquid soap

2. Rince in cold water then squeeze out gently. Do not wring

3. Pad off excess moisture by placing it flat between two towels

4. For best finish, carefully iron the reverse side while still damp and on a low heat

Jackie Brazil Jewellery

How To Care for Jackie Brazil Jewellery

Resin is to be treated like a piece of ceramic. If it is dropped on a hard surface it will shatter.

To care for a Jackie Brazil item, all that is required is a soft cloth and a small amount of silicon based furniture polish or oil.

If the product gets badly scratched it can be polished with "Brasso" metal polish.
